About Brittany Bostick, LMFT
Depth Oriented Trauma Therapy for adults in California and Florida
My Professional Background
I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and my path to becoming a therapist has been anything but linear. Before entering the mental health field, I worked in entertainment and fashion, eventually making my own career shift toward work that felt more meaningful and aligned with who I am.
As a therapist, I’ve worked across a variety of settings and with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, including community mental health and addiction treatment. These experiences have shaped my passion for helping people navigate identity shifts, self esteem challenges, addiction, identity exploration, deep feelers, major life transitions, relationships, and the feeling of “I’m doing everything right, so why don’t I feel fulfilled?”
“I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed with the world around us and depressed about the past. Many times in my life I felt broken for being a deep feeler, for needing to grow up fast and not fitting the social norms…So I unlearned the shame and stopped identifying with the pain that came from being different. I now embrace my inner weirdo. I know myself and I love that I am different. And I hope to help others to do the same”
My approach is psychodynamic and depth-oriented. Together, we explore the why behind your patterns, relationships, and behaviors while also creating meaningful change in the present. I integrate attachment work, trauma-informed care, DBT, ACT, TF-CBT, and somatic therapy to meet you where you are.
Outside of the Office
When I’m not being a therapist, you can usually find me in the ocean. I love surfing and freediving, being outside, and doing anything that involves a little adventure. I’m also a proud dog mom to my sweet pup, Bodhi, and a cat mom to Smokey Bear.
